Affirmations for sleep
These are not commands. They are invitations: small permissions to let the day go, a little at a time. There is nothing to get right.
Read them slowly, or pick one and stay with it for a few breaths. Say them in your head or out loud. If a line does not fit, skip it. The ones that land are the ones to keep.
- Let this be the part of the day where nothing more is asked of you.
- Let your shoulders sink a little further into the bed.
- Let the worry wait outside the door tonight. It knows where to find you in the morning.
- Allow each breath out to be a little slower than the last.
- Let your thoughts drift past like lights on a faraway road.
- Give tomorrow permission to wait until tomorrow.
- Notice how heavy your hands can become when they stop holding anything.
- Let the pillow take the whole weight of your head.
- Allow the quiet in the room to grow a little wider.
- Let whatever was left undone today rest, unfinished, for now.
- Let your jaw soften, and your forehead after it.
- Invite the night to be long and unhurried.
- Let sleep come when it is ready. There is no need to chase it.
- Let your body remember all the nights it has drifted off before.
- Let every sound outside become part of the stillness.
- Let go of the need to figure anything out tonight.
- Allow your breathing to find its own slow rhythm, without help.
- Let the blanket be heavy and warm, and let that be enough for now.
- Let the last thought of the day be a kind one.
- Let yourself drift, and trust the morning to be there.
